I’ve been a professional writer since high school, when my local newspaper hired me to cover sports.
I trained at one of the best journalism schools in the country, graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. I went on to earn a master’s degree in integrated marketing communication from Northwestern, where I graduated with honors. And I completed an executive education program at Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management on leading effective teams.
I’ve worked in diverse environments, from a buttoned-up Wall Street corporation to a low-budget TV news station. I’ve done political PR, worked in corporate brand management, taught advertising to college students, and lent my expertise to numerous not-for-profits. But in every case, I wrote. A lot.
